So I was listening to a podcast called “physician interrupted” (highly recommend) and they did a two part series on drug testing, and guess what I found out? Both Peth testing (blood alcohol tests that go back up to three weeks) and Etg testing are NOT FDA APPROVED TESTS. They have not been properly studied and when they say there are “no false positives” they don’t actually know that because all the testing is small scale, not double blind, and probably done by the test manufacturers and is therefore highly biased. Do monitoring programs care? Obviously not. They will punish you regardless because it’s any excuse to squeeze more money out of you
